Cheerleaders are always in the wrong place. Somebody keeps putting them on the field, during the game, when they really belong in the preamble, in the lockers and dressing rooms, motivating the people who aren’t quite sure if they can get themselves out there and perform their best. Luckily for Skipper Eden, he had five incredible cheerleaders with him before he even entered Club Nosering:

In his particular future, on his particular planet, along with the other habitable worlds and realms, it helps in most situations to have cillimorph friends. Skipper was a cillikeeper in addition to an announcer (he’s getting to the announcer part), so had plenty such friends. His cheerleaders were his closest. And they were, in random order, just the way cillimorphs like it, a Tictuttle, a Mudaub, an Egvelope, a Rimeroot, and a Puckerluck. Continue reading →

Oh man, these guys again? That’s the Brass Tacks Building Company. The cillikeeper life is really not about money, and that cheeses them off. Most people who are still obsessed with the stuff wind up working for this interplanetary mega-corporation.

It’s hard to exploit cillimorphs thanks to their extreme goofery, but Brass Tacks found a way. They make all their money with low bids on construction projects, then build everything out of super flimsy and hollow cells and crates. To stabilize them, they capture and trick cillimorphs into stuffing themselves inside, size and mass being more of a suggestion to them. That makes the buildings way more stable, with cillimorph flesh being great at shock absorption.

Of course, when they fail to fill their units or the morphs escape, things come tumbling down and the Tacks blame everyone else. They claim they don’t shove morphs in their goods at all, and leave them to dark claustrophobic misery for years at a time, but everybody knows their pants are on fire. They also have the nerve to claim cillimorphs just put themselves in there on their own, which only happens a tiny portion of the time with the dumbest ones.

Steer clear of these corn nuts, if you know what’s good for you and your morphs. You’ll know them by their colors, brown and brass, with the higher ranks adding red and extra dumb tiers to their tack-hats. Their clownfaces and noses are usually pretty drab, with it all just being a facade to lure in earnest cillimorphs who just want to play.

Widdlewaddle & Ornlitho

Designation: the ROCKHOPPER PENGUIN cillimorphs

Group: BIRDISH

Native Biomes: PLANET BRRR & PLANET BOLDERO

Size: SMALL

Interesting Facts: Widdlewaddle’s carefully sculpted rock pants make its waddle extremely loud and destructive. It falls over a lot, then blames everyone else. Ornlitho is a powerful stomper, almost never letting go of its grip on its stomp-rocks. Its longest feathers grow down and conform to them to try and make you think they’re just part of the body. They’re not fooling anyone.

Designation: the SHADOW & SHADOW PUPPET cillimorphs

Native Biomes: PLANET BOLDERO & PLANET URBANIAK

Size: N/A

Interesting Facts: Thawtisaw hides in the shadows of other cillimorphs, but can break away when frightened and make off with their silhouette. It can borrow a wide variety of shadows, but when it matures it will mature into the silhouette of its currently borrowed shadow’s adult form. If you look closely, you can see the tendrils Puppentanz uses to control a shadow, which they can march right into daylight much more effectively than their juvenile stage can.

Interesting Facts: Hadroquack looks very birdish, but its scaly skin and more reptilian maturation give away its true categorization. Mallarballast’s yellow nodules are extremely buoyant, making it ideal to ride across calm bodies of water.

Designation: the LATTE ART & MILLENNIAL COFFEE cillimorphs

Group: GROWER

Native Biomes: PLANET SCORCHER & PLANET BRRR

Size: SMALL

Interesting Facts: Whether its desert dunes or deep snowbanks, Lattart stays cozy deep under the surface, blooming in temperature extremes to socialize. Foamaccino’s coiled-flower body is like a hot tub, allowing it to lounge in its own froth because it’s an absolute degenerate. It glides around with effervescent energy by spinning, basically a lazy air hockey puck.

Designation: the COMPACTED TRASH & FORTRESS cillimorphs

Native Biomes: PLANET URBANIAK

Interesting Facts: Carmpact likes to stack with its own into large prisms, vying for exterior spots so they compete in the extreme sport of rust development. Portcarlis prefers not to move since it has to use its whole weight to waddle back and forth, which disturbs the peace and knocks some of the peace off the shelf.

Interesting Facts: Slimy saliva pools in Murkt’s big cheeks; eventually you can find an undersea pond of gooier spit they positively wallow in. They’re also pretty good above-ground waddlers, getting much more adept as Eelobbers that glide along on a trail of their own slobber-falls.

Interesting Facts: These cillimorphs come in two variants depending on their home planets. Duop gathers ambient moisture to construct its body, so in less hostile environments its like a peaceful morning dew drop. On harsher more polluted planets it concentrates volatile compounds and becomes explosive; this Powdew variant has an endless explosion roiling in its abdomen.

Size: MEDIUM & LARGE

Interesting Facts: Grendelbak is a lazy ruffian that always tries to sleep inside, whether it’s invited or not. One of its arms is withered down to bone so it can be used as a much more effective back scratcher. All Grendelbaks are male, but they change into females when they mature. Grendelmum sheds bones from its arms to build a shield, adding any other bones it finds. The arm that doesn’t wield the shield is completely empty of bone, so they wrap it around their body like a dress.
