Chat Lib #7: Juicy Talk of Jowly Moths

Chat Libs is a ‘Mad Libs’ based activity over on our Twitch live stream.  The audience suggests a scenario, I write a story template with missing words, and they fill in the holes.  Hilarity ensues.  If you wish to participate you can join us at twitch.tv/blainearcade

Scenario: Two women discuss their past lives as moths over drinks

They had an awful lot in common, including their drink order; it was a blinding cocktail called a smelly tornado. It helped them get drunk fast, loosening their lips so the could discuss what had brought them together. Sarah Jaywalk and Torga d’Astorga were both confident that reincarnation was not only real, but also terrible. Minesweeper Fiction: Session 18

Cosmiczord

According to the automatic calendar, the soft paper-turning fwip sound of which served as Zord’s alarm click, it was the six thousandth five hundredth and thirty second day of freedom. Everything the robot had done with those days was visible in their small apartment hidden beneath an active machining facility. Continue reading

Death Hammer                                   Justice Spear                            Majesty Mace

There were more than five hundred graves to sort through, and any one of them might have been the resting place of the death hammer of the hideous commander Baross Varnivore. He might not have always been an evil man, there were tales that his violent behavior and strange last name didn’t come along until he picked up the habit of eating varnish in his adolescence. The facts were that, when he died, he left a collapsing empire that had dominated two continents. Continue reading

Scenario: the cowboys agree to never talk about what just happened

So it’s agreed,” the tone deaf cowboy said, whispering so all those over by proxima centauri wouldn’t hear. It was a miracle they hadn’t noticed the blood of their enemies coating all 89 cowboys. They were all wide-eyed and in shock; none of them had ever seen a reaction like that from what was supposed to be a fully domesticated cyborg. Continue reading

We would sing about submarines all day and all night long. We sang around the camp solar flare in between bites of sea cucumber. My daughter had the most beautiful voice. She always starts with my macho verse:” Continue reading

Twitch Stream Story: The Lizargrim

Prompt: There’s a huge lizard-like creature in front of me with scales shining like black diamonds, its glimmering eyes staring fixedly. It seems to say something solemnly, but unfortunately I can’t hear anything.

I’ve always valued pets more than people. We’re living in an age where I don’t even have to explain that anymore. Everybody just knows how awful everybody else is. A violent person is a maniac, a rapist, a murderer, a thief, a gangster, a politician even… A violent animal is just a scared or hungry one. Continue reading

Scenario: Prehistoric Comedy

It was the year 3.14159265359 B.C. Salty centaurs and fiery T. rexes roamed the land. Two cave people, fresh from the morning’s prom, roamed the meadows outside their colony. Winter was coming, and with it its liberalism. They needed to prepare by gathering spoons, which would also be used in their pre-plague festival. The best place to find them was the tall bushes where the mastodons collected the bones of their optometrists. Continue reading
